Controls:

  • WASD to Move 
  • Mouse to control camera
  • space to pause


Wk 2:

  • Set up "rope" base for further tweaking
  • Set up FP character controller
  • Began working on system manager and research on PC grip

Wk 3:

  • Player now grips the "rope" for a set amount of time
  • Player can move while holding "rope"
  • Beginning to adjust how the rope "swing" feels

Wk4:

  • pivoting the thought process for how I'm gonna do the core loop, because spending 3 weeks on one thing is not going well
  • I'm beginning to base the swinging idea in grappling and swinging to get a start on how it will work
  • I also made the beginnings of the arena the game will be played in to feel like I made some progress
  • (This was also the week I was sick, so I guess I can't get TOO down on myself)

Wk5:

  • Figured out line renderer attachment to ceiling and player
  • Began configuration of player health and scoring system
    • Player loses health when hit by enemy w/ cooldown
    • Player gains points when closely passing an enemy (still needs cooldown and a condition against if the player is hit by the enemy).
  • (Had to create new project because I messed up GitHub with a merge; too much for it to handle all at once).

Wk6:

  • FINALLY got the rope working how I want it to work
  • Did some tweaks on the camera (though still needs some work)
  • Continued building on the Bull pathing so that it doesn't just follow the player, but has a bit of momentum that carries them PAST the player now
  • Also, the bull has sound effects now :)

Wk7:

  • Ui adjustments (placeholders for now)
  • timer continuously goes down
  • timer will jump down a little when player is hit
  • player can not get their score incremented up if they have been hit

Wk8/9:

  • basic main menu completed
  • options menu started (only one slider usable)
    • can adjust speed of swing
  • bull pen door has open and close animations
  • game has an end-of-level state for a success and a failure

Wk 10/11:

  • new UI sprites added to menus
  • sound manager created for levels
  • changed the textures/materials of the arena
  • can restart level from anywhere (except options menu)
  • tilted camera down slightly for better view
